Blessed with a picture perfect pitcher's frame at 6'5", 205 pounds, Latos' stuff has been improving as he has been filling out his frame. He approached the upper-90s early in the summer of 2005, and pitched comfortably in the 91-93 range with his fastball. His curveball also improved over the past year as Latos has become more comfortable with that pitch. A very good, natural athlete, Latos is also a very good hitter even if his future is without a doubt on the mound. Given his tall, projectable frame, he will have to make sure to maintain his mechanics, but he currently repeats his delivery very well.
