It would be easy to dismiss Davis as a prospect by looking at his stature. Built short and stout, he has a power-speed combination reminiscent of Kirby Puckett. Davis used quick hands and very good bat speed to flick the best of pitches out of the ballpark in a blink of an eye. He has surprising speed that allows him to beat out an infield single, swipe a few bases and cover considerable ground in the outfield. He also has a strong throwing arm, giving him a very good overall toolset. In addition to his tools, Davis has a natural sense of how to play the game, doing many of the little things right that should allow him to enjoy immediate success in the earlly stages at the next level, whether that be as a professional or in college, as he has committed to play for Tennessee. Don't overlook Davis, as he continually turns anyone that has a chance to see him play into a believer of his ability.
