Hamilton is a very projectable right-handed pitcher that made a statement at last summer's East Coast Professional Showcase. While his fastball sits in the low-90s, his best pitch is a nasty slider that can reach the mid-80s. That one-two punch will draw plenty of attention this spring, and will give him the foundation and potential to rise up draft boards this spring. The only thing keeping him back at this point in time are the same things that hold most prep pitchers back: His need for polish and experience. The command on all of his pitches needs more work, and once he understands the value of mastering the strike zone and changing speeds he will be a lot more successful. He has committed to play at Troy University.
