Blair is a very good overall athlete that repeats his delivery well and has an aggressive approach on the mound. He could be climibing up follow lists for the spring after touching 95 at the WWBA Jupiter Tournament last fall. He comfortably works in the low-90s, and the best part about his fastball isn't the velocity but the movement, as it shows very good natural sink that makes it a very difficult pitch to drive. His slider makes him a classic sinker-slider pitcher, and his changeup gives him a solid third pitch, even though both of his breaking pitches need more work. Blair is one of many pitchers from the Northern Illinois area that will make the region a popular destination this coming spring. He has committed to play at Arizona State.
