Name: Eric Eiland
Height/Weight: 6-1 / 190
Date of Birth: 9/16/88
School: Lamar (TX) Rank: 66
Eiland made a very strong impression on scouts last summer, showing off his impressive set of tools. He is a true five-tool athlete with his weakest tool being his power and his best tool being his speed. His speed allows him to be a threat on the basepaths while tracking down fly balls at will in center. His arm strength grades out as average. He has a very good, level swing from the left side of the plate and knows how to use the entire field. He has more gap power now than over the fence power, but that could come as he continues to fill out his athletic and wiry frame. He has committed to play for Texas A&M.
