Arguably the most dynamic player available for the 2008 draft, Weeks is more of a prototypical leadoff hitting second baseman than his older brother Rickie. Jemile is a switch hitter that shows a heady contact approach from both sides of the plate with a patient eye and surprising pop. He has the wheels to stretch singles into doubles and doubles into triples, and is a menace on the base-paths. He already has proved his worth hitting with a wood bat with an impressive showing during the summer of 2006. He missed significant playing time during the spring and summer of 2007 due to a groin injury. He generates his power with very strong wrists that produces very good bat speed. His quickness serves him well on defense as he ranges well to both directions and turns the double play pivot with ease.
