The big news this time around is, of course, Prince's rise to #3 on the P50. It was a combination of Prince playing very well, and playing more often than Krynzel or Jones. Krynzel missed playing time due to the AA All-Star Break and the Futures Game, and Jones has been having problems with a sore arm, and he'll miss another few weeks beyond this. It's not to say that Prince didn't earn it, though. With his 22nd home run this evening, he's on a tear that even the pitcher-friendly ballparks of the Midwest League can't handle anymore. Look out above... Speaking of being on a hitting tear, Lou Palmisano is terrorizing Pioneer League pitching, and if the Helena Brewers weren't in a pennant race, he might already be in Beloit... Jeff Housman was promoted earlier in the day from Beloit to Huntsville, and figueres to give the overworked pitching staff there a break. It's not nearly as hard of a jump for pitchers as it is for hitters... Power 50 factoid of the week: This is the first time in Power 50 history that a pitcher has not occupied one of the top 3 spots.

Sore arm is nothing serious, but you don't like to see the words "sore arm" attached to a prospect pitcher |
