Nice batch of minor leaguers here - surely a few will make their mark in baseball history. Use the Internet to learn about the history of baseball, from baseball drafts to baseball drills.

  Power 50
+/- Rank  Name  Level  Pos  Age
 01 Fielder, Prince   A   1B 35 L R
Prince hasn't exactly grabbed the bull by the horns since his move to the #1 prospect slot - his batting average is now below .260 and his OPS is teetering closer to 800
 02 Hardy, J.J.   MLB   SS 37 R R
Ouch - J.J.'s shoulder injury will keep him out for the rest of the season and he may not be totally healthy again until sometime next season
 03 Weeks, Rickie   A   2B 37 R R
32 walks and hit-by-pitches in just over 132 at-bats, but oddly enough, almost half of those 32 free times on base aren't walks
 04 Hart, Corey   A   OF 37 R R
Rock solid in AAA, and got rewarded with a call-up to Milwaukee, though he probably won't be with the Brewers for more than a few weeks
 05 Nelson, Brad   A   1B 36 L R
About half of Brad's hits have been for extra bases, and about a third of his at-bats have resulted in a strikeout... he's like a cool new Rob Deer
 06 Parra, Manny   A   MR 36 L L
Manny will get around four to six more starts with the Mavericks before his barnstorming of the Southern League begins
 07 Hendrickson, Ben   MLB   SP 38 R R
It's about as close as it can get between Ben and Manny Parra for getting the "Top Pitcher in the Minors" tab
 08 Jones, Mike   A   MR 36 R R
Mike should be back on the mound by the time the next Power 50 rolls around
 09 Krynzel, Dave   MLB   CF 37 L L
Super Dave's broken foot is healing pretty quickly and he might be back as early as about another month
10 De La Rosa, Jorge   MLB   MR 38 L L
Things are so very slowly turning around for Jorge, but the longer it takes for him to get squared away in AAA, the less chance he has of seeing Milwaukee this year
 11 Palmisano, Lou   A   C 37 R R
It's getting to where Cap'n Lou is about done proving himself with Beloit and a midseason promotion could be in the offing
 12 Ford, Matt   A   MR 38 S L
Shut down with some tenderness in his allegedly bone-chipless elbow, but it doesn't sound like anything serious right now
 13 Eveland, Dana   MLB   SP 35 L L
Those home runs allowed are still kind of irking me, but if Dana can strike out a batter an inning and have a 1.00ish WHIP, I'll take it
1  14 Liriano, Pedro   A   SP 39 R R
One of the better pitching outings of the year came from Pedro's arm a few days ago, and with a few more good outings he might start sneaking his way into Milwaukee's plans for this season
1  15 Capuano, Chris   A   SP 41 L L
A bad rehab outing in AAA prolonged Cap's minor league stint, but he'll be back in Milwaukee soon and he'll be off the Power 50 next time it comes out... good luck, young mister southpaw
2  16 Sarfate, Dennis   MLB   MR 38 R R
Still waiting for a string of good outings from Dennis like we all got used to last year when he was with Beloit
1  17 Bennett, Jeff   A   MR 39 R R
Jeff's confidence in his stuff seems to be growing: in April, Jeff struck out one batter and walked five, but so far in May, he's struck out eleven and walked only two
1  18 Ballouli, Khalid   A   SP 39 R R
Way too many homers given up, but Khalid is limiting the damage because he doesn't let a lot of baserunners on
1  19 Adams, Mike   MLB   CL 41 R R
Brewerfan congrats to Mike on being promoted to the bigs and also on his first Major League win... hopefully he's here to stay
3  20 Moss, Steve   A   CF 35 R R
Slowly but surely, I'm losing patience with Steve's over-patience at the plate - swing the bat a little!
 21 Gwynn Jr, Tony   MLB   OF 37 L R
Thing have been looking up at the plate recently for Junior, which is welcome news
 22 Bruso, Greg   A   SP 39 R R
The Stars sure do need some help in the rotation, and it sure would be nice to see Bruso's name back in the box score pretty soon
 23 Diggins, Ben   A   MR 40 R R
We're all beginning to grow ansty at the impending return of the large Mr. Diggins
 24 Saenz, Chris   A   SP 38 R R
One of the most important skills a pitcher has to master (and one of the most difficult to gauge) is the ability to simply not allow runners on base to score, and it seems that Chris is still working on that - he has an impeccable WHIP (1.00) and K/9 (10.1), but has a bad Southern League ERA (4.58)
 25 Vanden Berg, John   A   C 39 R R
The day is fast approaching when JVB will be challenging Kade Johnson for playing time in Huntsville
3  26 Belcher, Jason   A   RF 37 L R
Has had a great last few weeks and has almost worked himself into every day playing time with the Stars
1  27 Gemoll, Brandon   A   1B 39 L L
Had a pleasent surprise the other day when Brandon got his rightful promotion to AAA, and he should darn well stay there for the rest of the season
2  28 Housman, Jeff   A   MR 38 L L
Seems to have the same pitching line game in and game out, and it's good to be consistent when you're good
4  29 Crabbe, Callix   A   UT 36 S R
In very few organizations would Callix be only the second or third best second base prospect
4  30 Bausher, Tim   A   SP 40 R R
Funky mechanics aside, Tim has been throwing down in Huntsville as a starter and is positioning himself to make a big move up the Power 50
5  31 Johnson, Kade   A   C 41 R R
When all is said and done, you can at least say that Kade hits the ball hard when he makes contact
 32 Woolard, Glenn   A   SP 38 R R
Glenn has settled into a little rut on the mound after his strong Cal League start
6  33 Cruz, Enrique   A   SS 37 R R
No one's stock is falling faster than Enrique's after a demotion to High Desert
2  34 Ramirez, Carlos   A   SP 35 L L
How much will Carlos dominate his repeat year in a league this time? Look out, Pioneer League hitters
3  35 Rottino, Vinny   MLB   UT 39 R R
Still isn't walking at all, but no one in the system is hitting the ball better
5  36 Kloosterman, Greg   A   SP 37 L L
After a slew of pretty bad outings, Kloosterman was put on the DL, so you have to wonder how long his arm has been bothering him, and if he's learned his lesson about telling someone about it
 37 Fermaint, Charlie   A   CF 34 R R
Could be that Charlie will be in Arizona for another go around on that team before being promoted to Helena
3  38 Acosta, Gilberto   A   SS 37 S R
At least thing have gone from horrible to bad over the past few weeks
 39 Hawk, Tommy   A   SP 34 R R
There's going to be a big fight for rotation spots in Helena, but Tommy's performance last season should give him a leg up
 40 Wooley, Robbie   A   SP 34 R R
Unless current plans change, Robbie will be in Helena to begin their season
5  41 Boyd, Dan   A   RF 41 R R
Dan's starting to drive the ball more, which is both good to see and necessary for his future in the organization
2  42 Opdyke, Bryan   A   C 35 L R
Less than a month until Bryan begins playing in games that count for Helena
2  43 Hinton, Travis   AA   1B 38 L L
With all the problems he had at Beloit the past two years, I really hope the Brewers leave TH in High Desert all season so he can get his confidence back
new  44 Chavez, Ozzie   A   IF 36 S R
Was mired in a horrible slump two or three weeks ago and is now making a run at Player of the Month, and was just promoted to AA to boot
4  45 Slack, Nick   A   CL 36 R R
Lots of hits given up in his first month and a half of A-ball... the telling thing will be if all the hits snowball as they year goes on or if Nick figures out how to minimize them
3  46 Rodriguez, Guilder   A   IF 36 S R
Tops in the organization in walks and Guilder is really turning some heads in Beloit
5  47 Stewart, Paul   A   MR 41 R R
Given all his experience in AA, Paul could find his successful relief self in Indianapolis sooner than later
5  48 Taubenheim, Ty   A   SP 36 R R
There have been more than a few rocky saves lately for Ty, but none of us is perfect
1  49 Morris, Chris   A   CF 40 S R
Banged up a little bit, Chris has been limited at the plate and been held to some DH duty
3  50 Anderson, Drew   A   OF 38 L R
Drew has picked up the pace a little over the past two weeks, but needs to remain strong over the next two weeks to hold off the competition

Players removed this week: Forrest Martin...
