Rams doesn't have the most perfect baseball body, built thick and soft with a wide waist and skinny lower legs, but he generates a tremendous amount of power from that broad build from the right side of the plate. He shows a good overall sense of what he's doing at the plate that should allow him to succeed offensively at the next level. Defensively as a catcher he'll have plenty of critics given his frame, but he has a very strong arm and he's not shy about showing it off. He's a little slow at blocking balls in the dirt, and could use more experience catching to improve his hands and release, but you can tell the amount of pride he takes behind the dish. he has committed to play for Arizona State, and profiles similarly to a current Sun Devil and fellow former Aflac All-American Brett Wallace.
